Styled Shoot at Vintage

Blair of Sweet Blossoms dreamt up this moody shoot that took place at Vintage in New Market. ” I wanted to use darker reds as the focal color and I wanted the accents to be dark jewel tones as well, quite the opposite of what I’m seeing for weddings. I’ve always been drawn to color and texture so this shoot was my chance to blend the darker colors with some moody lighting, with all the texture that is typically seen in my work. I also wanted to use a space that felt warm and home-y without giving off the rustic vibe and I think Vintage was the perfect spot”

My words as featured in The Bridal Theory.  ” Vintage in New Market, Maryland is set amid the quaint main street of the town. Vintage has a storied history with the building starting out as a hotel then transitioning into a restaurant and now its resurgence as a farm to table community restaurant and event venue with many original features. The history of the venue paired with Blair’s vision for the shoot led to a moody yet refined scene. Our bride was draped in a simple body-conscious gown with delicate buttons across the back. Sapphire jewelry picked up the blue delphiniums, privet berry, and thistles that graced the bouquet and hanging floral installation. Our main floral focus was around the intimate head table and included a floral chandelier with glowing hanging orbs that complemented the sprawling centerpieces and taper candles. A naked cake adorned with flowers and berries was truly the icing on the cake and was accompanied by a farm to table meal of risotto, deviled eggs, a decadent fruit platter, and custom cocktails.”
