Emily & Jimmy – Shadow Creek

When I first talked to Emily she told me about her and Jimmy’s Splash Mountain Engagement, I knew they were going to be a lot of fun.  During the ride, Jimmy’s family held up “Will You Marry Me” signs much to Emily’s surprise when she went to view the ride photos and Jimmy dropped down onto his knees to propose.
Their elegant rustic wedding took place at Shadow Creek Weddings & Events in Purcellville, Virgina. They had beautiful weather and their ceremony took place outside under an arch set amongst rolling hills and grazing cows. Different shades of purple were present from the bridesmaid dresses to the flowers adding to the elegance of the day. Their dogs were featured on their wedding invitation and acted as the flower girl and ring bearer for the couple. Other special touches included place cards which featured a funny quote and a picture of each guest, a guest book  of polaroid’s of the guest’s faces, Shadow Creek’s horse Gus greeted guests from his stall on their way to the ceremony, impromptu speeches from their shy Maid of Honor and Best Man, and plenty of dancing on the dance floor.
This wedding was also featured on Washingtonian Bride & Groom.
